We're feeling festive this week and marvel over the skateboard talent at Londonewcastle

Londonewcastle's Christmas Party

Everyone was getting into the festive spirit last Thursday as Londonewcastle staff celebrated another successful year at the exclusive Cavendish gastro-pub in Marylebone.

Staff sporting festive jumpers were greeted by a champagne reception & enchanted by angelic carol singers adorning authentic Victorian costumes. A succulent three course Christmas meal was served comprising smoked salmon, pickled onion, pistachio butter and toasted rye bread to start, followed by roasted turkey, mini chipolatas, chestnuts & cranberry sauce and later a Christmas pudding soaked in brandy to for dessert. During the meal, guests were beguiled by Mariachi vocalists Beat Banditos who sang a selection of traditional and contemporary Pan-American music including their own take on Human Leagues 1982 classic "Don't You Want Me Baby"

After the meal Londonewcastle's Head of Sales and Marketing Natalie Hall gave a presentation to all staff members inviting them to unwrap their secret santa gifts which included a company goldfish that has since been named Robert Chevis Jr, a roulette table, a mug warmer & a lunch box.

As the party continued long into the early hours of the morning a rambunctious atmosphere swept across the premises as a plethora of delicious cocktails were imbibed. Guests departed in the early hours of the morning with the sound of mariachi still ringing on their ears.

Save Your Sanity and Shop Online

Yep, you can run but you can’t hide, it’s fast approaching….The 25th December.

It’ll soon be that time of year when you’re faced with running the gauntlet up and down Oxford Street on Christmas Eve. Pathetically hoping that suddenly you’ll be inspired beyond that gift box from Space NK. Don’t worry, it happens to the best of us.

This year we’ve been scouring the internet since November, so you could say that we’re prepared!

One of our favourite sites ‘du jour,’ is the arts journal and print shop ‘ They Made This’

Not only is it a great read, it’s beautifully put together and showcases some of the coolest illustrators and photographers knocking around the block.

But wait, the best bit for us is that you can buy some of this wonderful stuff

Take a look, be inspired and above all surprise someone.

Christmas may never have been this easy.

Flippin' Great! HB Shows us some Tricks

Having recently watched the rather crazy documentary ‘All This Mayhem’ it was only a matter of time before we cornered our resident skateboarder, Harry, to show us all how it's done.

As a child growing up, I'd always been envious of anyone who could flip a board. I could barely stand on one without it shooting off and me going ar!e over t?t.

It just so happens that we have a board kicking around at LN towers. It's not a good one, I don't even think they make them like that these days (we're off down to Slam City Skates for a better model), but Harry being the dynamo that he is, wasn't phased by it's mdf qualities…or lack of.

So here he is in all his glory. Showing us a 'heel flip' and…landing it. That ain't bad.

Rate it.

If you fancy a bit of the action, head to Mile End Skate Park and you might catch Harry doing the occasional awesome move!
