Are you ready to get your joust on this weekend? If jousting isn't your thing, then now is the time to enter the London Bake Off tent!

Knights in Shining Armour

Transport yourself back in time this summer by visiting Eltham Palace and Gardens in Greenwich, where you can observe this year’s Grand Medieval Joust.

This weekend you can have the chance to spectate the reputable knights as they head off into battle and cheer on your favourite to win. While you’re there you may as well get stuck into the spirit and take part in all things Medieval: Observe some impressive archery skills, admire the falconers as they exhibit some their astonishing birds of prey and fool around with the village jester. To top it all off, you can take some snaps with your favourite jousters and sample a traditional Medieval feast!

The majesty of Eltham Palace and Gardens is the perfect place for this fine event, happening 8th-9th July. For more information visit: http://bit.ly/2ugYU7f

Ready, Set, Bake!

How many of you dream of living out that Great British Bake Off dream? I’m sure you’re not the only one who secretly wishes Mary and Paul would test out your buns (shameless Bake Off innuendo). The dream can become a reality as London is hosting its first pop-up bake off! From now until November you can enter the giant tent, show off your skills and create the ultimate showstopper.

Hosted in one of the oldest pubs in Tooting, The Castle, you and your friends can sift, glaze and knead your way to being the Big London Bake winner. With 90 minutes on the clock and instructions and ingredients ready and waiting for you, there is no excuse not to whip up something that Mel and Sue would be proud of.

Peter Marino's 'Fire and Water.'

Until August 11th, Mayfair’s Gagosian Gallery is hosting Fire and Water, an enchanting display of bronze work by acclaimed architect, Peter Marino.

Marino’s inspiration for his unique work of art began after the discovery of a sunken ship just off the Turkish coast. Within the shipwreck, impressive bronze works from over one thousand years ago were discovered. From then on, Marino has combined his two passions, bronze work and art, to produce world-class creations that have made him a renowned name in the industry.

According to Marino, bronze is a material that stands out from the rest: ‘it’s one of those materials that becomes more beautiful the more you touch it.’ Fire and Water showcases six different bronze boxes that each signify a mythical or natural notion, like rippling water and the patterned texture of stones. Produced at the French national institution for art, some of the ornate boxes in this exhibition took over one year to create, meaning that this show is one not to be missed.
