Issue 95

Londonewcastle has a lot to celebrate this week, with another award under our belt and planning for a new scheme, it's all going on here! Amongst the excitement, we are also getting involved in a charitable cause that is close to our hearts, especially in the run up to Christmas.

Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards

We have been celebrating another victory at Londonewcastle over the past week, as we were thrilled to discover that Balfron Tower won Refurbishment/Conversion of The Year in the Premier Guarantee Excellence Awards.

‘Supporting you to build high-quality developments is very important to us. For the buildings that go above and beyond what is expected we, want to give you the credit you deserve.’ This statement by Premier Guarantee makes us feel even more proud to win this award, along with Telford Homes, as so much effort, creativity and soul has gone in to giving this building the revival it deserves.

For us, winning awards like this is so important because it boosts our morale and makes us even more determined to produce design-led homes of unparalleled quality for like-minded people. It’s important to celebrate each and every one of our successes and strive towards the next one!

Argenta House

Londonewcastle is pleased to announce that we have secured, by a unanimous decision, a resolution to grant planning permission for Argenta House in Stonebridge, north west London. In conjunction with Beaufort Capital we have obtained consent to transform a disused, two-storey commercial building opposite Stonebridge Park station into a desirable and thriving place to live.

The scheme can accommodate 130 residential units in a 24-storey tower alongside cycle storage and car parking, as well as a re-provisioned kiosk to support the local community and commuters. We think the site will be instrumental in the regeneration of Stonebridge Park, creating a new local landmark for the area and acting as a gateway for visitors and residents using the station.

As well as providing new homes, the plans will also re-route Wembley Brook to revive this section of neglected riverside to encourage greenery and wildlife to flourish in an otherwise urban location.

Pop-up Crisis at Savile Row

On the 9th December, Savile Row is welcoming back the awesome menswear pop-up store ‘popupcrisis’ in aid of Crisis (the national charity for homelessness) entitled ‘A Call to Garms’. All the money raised will go towards helping Crisis supply shelter, food and warmth over the Christmas season. Those sleeping without a roof over their head are constantly exposed to danger, including extreme temperatures, but also to abuse. More than 24,000 people in Britain will sleep rough this Christmas, a shocking statistic.

This incredible event is organised by our friend Anda Rowland and writer Tom Stubbs and will be held in Savile Row, ‘A Call to Garms’ will include some insane style bargains, from over 30 leading international brands. Savile Row legends have all donated iconic pieces that will be offered alongside leading luxury menswear brands.

All proceeds from purchases will go directly towards helping to support Crisis and its commitment to ending homelessness. Rob Soning our COO is thrilled to be volunteering for this great cause. They need your donations! Levels of rough sleeping in the UK has doubled in five years and we want to do what we can to make sure this figure does not increase, so please support this incredible cause. We think it is unacceptable that anyone should sleep on the streets.
