It would be nice to have something to look forward to wouldn't it? Here's our round up of what to expect in London over the coming months!

Eataly in the City

Laughing with friends while sipping wine and feasting on some cheesy, garlicky and carby goodness. Sounds like a thing of dreams, doesn’t it? Well, come early 2021, dreams could become reality. With the prospect of eased restrictions and the launch of the City’s latest foodie offering, Eataly.

Expected to open early next year in Broadgate will be a colossal 40,000 sq.ft Italian foodhall holding London’s biggest Italian winery, three mouth-watering Italian restaurants and an immense Italian supermarket stocking approximately 5000 products. Heaven, right? There’s more! There will also be fresh cheese made fresh on-site to meet all of your dairy needs. Sounds gouda to me. (I couldn't resist)

Even though, I’m sure you will agree, there is nothing better than a good Italian feast, Eataly will also be a great support to small local farmers, as well as having its own zero waste refill store. I don’t think it’s possible to tick any more boxes.
Chief Executive of Eataly has aptly said: ‘Bringing people together is at the heart of what we do and this is even more important in the current time.’ Very well said, indeed!

Christmas at Tobacco Dock

The countdown to Christmas is well underway, putting plans in the diary in the run-up to the festive period is essential so we can all keep our spirits high this year. We are dreaming of a Skylight Christmas at Tobacco Dock this year; they are optimistic that will be able to bring us some cheer by making sure they can cater to social distancing opening on 3rd December (hopefully!).

With plenty of outdoor seating and space, they are still planning on spoiling us with an Après-ski lodge and a Christmas Cocktail Cinema Experience, to mention a few!
So wrap up and keep your fingers crossed you can experience one of the city’s biggest Christmas destinations. In the words of those over at Tobacco Dock: ‘Leave 2020 outside the gates and enter a cosy, twinkly world of wintery and festive fun.’

An Evening of Entertainment at Joe's

Three weekends in, one weekend to go. We are officially over half way through Lockdown 2.0 and I think I can speak for everybody when I say that time is dragging and there are only so many re-runs of Friends that one person can watch.

Enter Sir Ian McKellen, Jennifer Saunders and Christopher Biggins! On 26th November at 8pm, you can watch this trifecta of entertainment royalty at home. So, dress up, pop open the Champagne and imagine yourself in London’s Theatreland to get the best experience possible.

Available to stream for free via YouTube, this delightful performance will be hosted at Covent Garden’s Joe Allen restaurant and will showcase virtual cabaret at its very best.

Even though this is a free event for us all to enjoy, donations are encouraged as the event is being held to raise money for theatre workers who desperately need at support during this time.
