Issue 45

London is jam-packed with delicious and creative goodness this weekend, from unmissable art exhibitions to lip-smacking street food. Oh, did I mention that Gucci is launching a décor range...finally!

Watercolours by John Singer Sargent

Exclusive to Dulwich Picture Gallery until October 2017 is an extensive exhibition which will showcase over 80 watercolour paintings by John Singer Sargent, the extraordinarily talented artist from the 20th century. In fact, this is the first display in this country dedicated to the work of this artist for almost a century.

The pieces in this exhibition are inspired by the travel experiences of Sargent himself, with destinations such as Venice and the French Alps dominating the canvases. The talent and skill of Sargent is utterly exceptional in this showcase of works, with his use of colour and technicality bringing each piece to life.

Visitors can also swing by Dulwich Picture Gallery after hours this weekend and next weekend only. Make sure you don’t miss out and buy your tickets here http://bit.ly/2uG96Jr

The Indulgence of Street Feast

It is safe to say that Street Feast is the epitome a foodie’s dream; an alluring array of food stalls at every turn, what could be more enjoyable than that? Street Feast is one of London’s most loved brands for bringing an exciting selection of mouth-watering pop-ups across the city.

First introduced to London in 2012, Street Feast has come a long way. Its Lewisham branch, Model Market, is back this summer for its 4th consecutive year and it has got many new, and positively tasty things to offer. Located in a derelict market in Lewisham High Street, Street Feast has transformed this abandoned locality into the ultimate foodie destination!

Co-founder, Jonathan Downey, is thrilled to announce some new food stalls, as well as some well-loved ones that are back and ready to feed hungry market-goers again. Scrumptious food vendors at Model Market include, The Gyoza Guys, Mother Flipper and Up In My Grill.

Open every weekend from 5pm to 1am, there is no excuse not to get your grub on this summer! http://bit.ly/2oE26qs

Gucci Does Décor

Fashion lovers, listen up. September 2017 will be a momentous time in the history of homeware and interior design, as Gucci will be joining the bandwagon by releasing its very own range of luxury homeware and décor.

But, what exactly is it that we can expect from this indulgent line of interior goodness? In true Gucci style, each item will ooze the romance and decadence that the brand is known and loved for. Think sensational scented candles, silky wallpaper and plush decorative cushions, can home decoration get anymore lavish?

Alessandro Michele, current creative director of the first-class fashion brand declares his passion and enthusiasm for the collection, saying: ‘(the line) is an electric collection of items with which customers can dress they’re own spaces…the idea is not to prescribe a particular decorative look, but to provide elements that allow for living spaces to be customised.’

So, watch this space and prepare yourself for a plethora of Gucci décor goodness.
