Warm up those vocal cords for some patriotic singing en français and be amazed by the mad skills of Otto, the Skateboarding Dog.

La Marseillaise, 19.55 tonight

Tremblez, tyrans et vous perfides
L'opprobre de tous les partis,
Tremblez ! vos projets parricides
Vont enfin recevoir leurs prix !
Vont enfin recevoir leurs prix !
Tout est soldat pour vous combattre
S'ils tombent, nos jeunes héros,
La terre en produit de nouveaux,
Contre vous tout prêts à se battre !

Tremble, tyrants and you traitors
The shame of all parties,
Tremble! Your parricidal schemes
Will finally receive their reward!
Will finally receive their reward!
Everyone is a soldier to combat you
If they fall, our young heroes,
The earth will produce new ones,
Ready to fight against you!

Smashing Exhibition

Last few weeks to see Ai Weiwei’s very moving show at the main galleries in the Royal Academy.
Exhibiting brave, provocative and visionary works that embrace the immensity of these historic spaces, Weiwei is not only a major contemporary artist but also a cultural phenomenon.

Among the many, specifically created new works are a number of large-scale installations, as well as works showcasing everything from marble and steel to tea and glass.

Curated in collaboration with his studio in Beijing, Ai Weiwei explores a multitude of challenging themes, drawing on his own experience to comment on creative freedom, censorship and human rights, as well as examining contemporary Chinese art and society.

Otto, The Skateboarding Dog

We would like to extend our congratulations to Otto the skateboarding dog who successfully broke the Guinness world record of the longest human tunnel travelled through by a dog on a skateboard. Otto had to paws for breath when the record was announced at the Yitzhak Rabin Park in Lima, Peru. Ottos ability to skate through a human tunnel was discovered by accident, when he accidentally zipped through his owners legs unscathed. Otto has shot to fame and now has 44,306 likes on his facebook page. A notoriously gregarious character, he is renowned not only for his skating abilities but for skimboarding, sandboarding, paddling and surfing. According to sources close to him, he enjoys being scratched on his back and sleeping after a long day.

Otto is not the first skateboarding dog to shoot to fame. There are copious other dogs whose exploits have been distributed across social media, most notably Tyson, considered by many as the original pioneering skateboard dog who sadly passed away last month & Tillman who currently holds the Guinness world record for the fastest 100m. Extreme Pete trained by the legendary Omar Von Muller is proficient in extreme sports having completed several half pipes and skated down stairs
