Contemporary artist Ruth Fox's work is what she sees as an ongoing 'body hunt' campaign. Through a vigorous process of repetition, fragmentation and abstraction of the body's lines, shapes and contours, Ruth Fox explores our species' self-inflicted displacement and disconnection from the physical body, and seeks to explore how we might find it again. Her work is intended to reconnect us with our "reliable homes", seeing this as fundamental to understanding both our individual and collective physical identities.
