Pattern Power: Superstripe

Experience Stripes like never before.. The world shares one common language: pattern...

In April 2013 pattern visionaries Patternity, proudly host PATTERN POWER where they will join forces with some of the world’s top thinkers, specialists and innovators to explore how a shared awareness of life’s patterns has the power to positively shape our behaviour, our innovations and our world.

Kicking off their first voyage of pattern discovery with a focus on ‘Stripe’, Patternity will bring together the most illuminating minds in art, design, science, the environment, health and beyond to share their expert ideas, processes and experiences.

For the duration of the event - co-produced by Creature of London – Patternity will immerse visitors into an intriguing and tactile world of stripes; delving into the omnipresent but often overlooked impact of pattern on culture and it’s ability to further connect us to our environment and each other.

Going beneath the surface of pattern, cross disciplinary round table discussions, hands on community workshops and public interactive events at the space will further participants’ pattern awareness and understanding.

With kind support from Getty Images, Patternity’s iconic pattern research and curation on the walls, ceilings and floors of will also encourage visitors to look up, down and around the gallery space to uncover a rich and inspiring archive of one of life’s most exciting patterns.

PATTERN POWER / SUPERSTRIPE is the first of in an on-going series of pattern events that will see the core Patternity ethos on “seeing pattern everywhere, from the mundane to the magnificent” move boldly into the real world, cementing their place as the world’s most forward thinking pattern pioneers.
