Chris Moon is a self-taught British painter working in a mix of mediums including oil, acrylic, gloss, charcoal and lipstick.
His subject matter is still life, figurative and landscape, which sometimes fuse together and more often than not, are re-worked, re-painted and reconstructed, enhancing his objective to “imprison them in their surroundings.”
“Chris Moon is an outsider artist making serious waves as a painter with abstract work that recalls the intensity of Francis Bacon in its stretching of anonymous human forms into the endless void of the canvas.” John-Paul Pryor, AnOther Magazine
