NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL ART!

Dazzling. Outrageous. Challenging. Iconoclastic. Iconic. Controversial. Exhilarating. Transcending. Provoking. Offensive. Confusing.

Milton Ernest "Robert" Rauschenberg was an American painter and graphic artist, whose experimental approach expanded the traditional boundaries of art, opening up completely new avenues of exploration for future artists. He aggressively merged the realms of kitsch and fine art, employing both traditional media and found objects within his "combines" by inserting appropriated photographs and urban detritus amidst standard wall paintings. A retrospective show of his work is the current blockbuster at Tate Modern.
