The Old Marylebone Town Hall is known for its Rock ‘n’ Roll weddings, as it has hosted for Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Liam Gallagher. First opened in 1920, the Grade II-listed building will be home to the students of the London Business School. However, Westminster Council will continue to conduct Weddings, Civil Partnerships and Council meetings. With a £60 million refurbishment deal, the school has taken a 35 year renewable lease. Designed by the British architecture, Sir Edwin Cooper, the scheduled opening in Autumn 2017 will exhibit a contemporary interior, with a revamp of the exterior architectural detail of the facade. Professor Likierman describes the schools new building as ‘the only business school in the world where you can go straight from lectures to get married’.
